Harmon Organon Pharmaceuticals USA Names VP, Managed Markets Organon Pharmaceuticals USA, Roseland, N.J., has named James G. Harmon as VP of managed markets. Organon, the human healthcare business unit of Akzo Nobel, focuses on developing drugs for reproductive medicine, psychiatry, and anesthesia. Mr. Harmon is responsible for strategy development as well as leadership of account management groups, government accounts, biotech specialty pharmacy, trade relations, pricing, and contracting. Theo Nieuwenhuis Schering-Plough Appoints Leader for Remicade Marketing Schering-Plough, a global healthcare company with headquarters in Kenilworth, N.J., has named Theo Nieuwenhuis as VP of Remicade marketing; he is responsible for international marketing of the anti-TNF therapy. Mr. Nieuwenhuis also manages Schering-Plough’s relationship with Centocor, from which the company has marketing rights to Remicade in all global markets except the United States, Japan, and parts of the Far East. He joined Schering-Plough in 2003 as general manager of The Netherlands. Mr. Nieuwenhuis holds a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and a MBA in business management from Kingston University. In this position, she provides direction on trends in management of renal disease patients, contributes to the design of new products, leads the design of clinical trials, and works with the scientific community worldwide. Dr. Beutner, who has more than 25 years of healthcare industry experience, joins Anacor from Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences, where he was VP and chief medical officer.
