Under the terms of the acquisition, Bristol-Myers Squibb will initially pay about $415 million in cash for Adnexus. Patients can enroll online for free at iguard.org, where they follow a simple series of steps to become part of a membership network. Patients create a secure personalized iGuard profile that includes questions about their demographics, medications, medical history, and conditions that could impact their drug-safety risks. Once the patients complete their profile, iGuard immediately sends them personalized risk ratings about the medications they take, including interactions between drugs.
